Friendship is more than the name of our church; it is the heartbeat of our children's ministry. All of our children’s ministry leaders are real. They are not pressed out of a Sunday School teacher mold. They are real people, teaching real kids, about a real God that loves them and wants to be their friend.
Each of our teachers brings with them a unique set of skills and employs them in a way that makes learning about God enjoyable, exciting, and most importantly, directly applicable to the lives of today’s children.
First and Second graders are led by Charlene Herrero and Ashley Rohde. This team works diligently with young children and provides guidance in the forming of a basic knowledge and love for the Bible. They are the backbone of our children’s ministry and form the foundation upon which our older children’s classes are built.
Third and Fourth graders are led by Josh Fritch and Karina Herring. This team specializes in innovative storytelling and encourages discovery of God’s amazing letter to us – the Bible. With years of combined experience leading small groups, puppet shows, drama, and various other children’s ministries, this team fans the flames of wonder that will translate into a passion for living according to God’s plan.
Fifth and Sixth graders are led by Silas Gray and Michele Dare. This altogether unique team is responsible for encouraging older children to develop their own habit of living 100%, pedal to the metal, sold out, for God. This critical age group is in good hands with a pair of passionate leaders that are dedicated to teaching older children that they can stand strong, passionate, and determined to serve God even as they approach their high school years.
All of our children’s ministry classes meet at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings, and are easy to find.
